I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Tor To Door. From the very first contact the service was efficient, friendly and client-centred. At every stage I felt like a valued customer and would happily use the service again and recommend it to my friends and family. Worth every single penny and made our Christmas meal extra special. Lloyd needed a new pair of wellies recently and saw that the Farmer's Weekly Magazine were offering a Free Pair to anyone entering their "Sexiest Farmer in Britain" search, so he entered his son Pete who works with him on the family farm. Pete has just been announced as the Winner, and Lloyd has got his wellies, so job done and well done to Pete !

Tor to Door Free Range and Organic Meat Suppliers Delivering to your Door
Located high up between the famous Tors of the Dartmoor National Park, Tor to Door brings you the finest, free range meat products from only native and rare breeds.- Beef is from Galloway, South Devon and Aberdeen Angus Cross; reared on the commons of the moor and grass fed in the Widecombe Valley. 100% traceability back to the herd number and hung for up to 28 days.
- Lamb is organic and from Scotch Black Face, reared out on Holne Moor. Mutton is also seasonably available. Lamb is hung for up to 7 days.
- Pork is from rare breed Saddleback pigs reared outdoors on our farm; Holwell, Widecombe in the Moor.
- Wild Boar are also reared free range at Holwell and produces excellent bacon and Prosciutto; also very low in cholesterol.
- Sausages are all hand made, hand mixed, in natural skins and natural flavourings with 95% meat content
- Bacon is home-cured for 3 weeks in juniper and demerara with a wonderfully delicate sweetness
- Pies are made using 100% Dartmoor meat
Recent studies have demonstrated that eating moorland meat that is rich in natural nutrients and minerals is healthier for you too. Meat is leaner because it essentially “wild” and eats a varied and more seasonal diet.
Our farms are all Registered by the Soil Association and comply with the highest welfare standards and organic principals (in conversion). Our farm based butchery ensures all meat is cut fresh to order on the day of despatch/delivery with a week min. use/freeze by date.
None of the animals will ever have spent a day of their lives off Dartmoor.
"Tor to Door" on Dartmoor is now officially recognised as the ONLY supplier of Beef from Dartmoor able to make claims relating to it's provenance ... Dartmoor based Fresh Meat Delivery Service and Butchery "Tor to Door" has been issued with a Certificate of Conformity relating to the origin of the Beef it sells via the Beef Labelling Scheme.
The Beef Labelling system is a European Community-wide scheme which is intended to provide buyers with clear, reliable information about beef on sale. Tor to Door is one of only 120 butchers in the Country able to make claims relating to the provenance of it's beef.
A key requirement of the system is that it should enable beef on sale to be traced back to where it originated. Claims Verified include
- Origin - Born, raised and slaughtered on Dartmoor
- Breed - Native (Galloway, South Devon, Aberdeen Angus - pure bred and cross natives)
- Slaughter Info included on packaging - date of slaughter, period of maturation (hung 14 to 28 days)
- Method of Production - Free Range, Grass Fed
